Resort F A Q's

Where is the Yacht and Beach Club Resort?
The Yacht and Beach Club Resort is in the Epcot Resort area, located between Epcot and Disney-MGM Studios.
The BoardWalk Resort is directly opposite, across Crescent Lake.

What is the difference between the two resorts?
The Beach Club is themed after a New England beach club of the 1870s, while the Yacht Club theming is that
of a New England seashore hotel of the 1880s. The Yacht Club has a slightly more formal feeling. The guest
rooms are decorated differently, but the Resorts share all amenities. The Beach Club is decorated in pastel
shades, with wicker furniture, and the Yacht Club features lots of brass and darker colours. The Beach Club
is nearer to Epcot, whereas the Yacht Club is at the Disney-MGM Studios end.

Where are the best room locations?
Rooms on the fifth floor of the Beach Club were originally concierge rooms and are slightly larger.
Rooms at the Epcot end of the Beach Club, and Disney-MGM Studios end of the Yacht Club are farthest away
from the restaurants & main pool.
Rooms with the nicest views at each Resort are at the farthest end.
If you want to be close as possible to Epcot, request a room at the far end of teh wing at the Beach Club.
Rooms nearest the lobbies of each Resort are closest to all of the amenities and transport.
Water view rooms don't necessarily overlook the lake. Many offer views only of the swimming pool or canal, sometimes restricted.
Yacht Club rooms all have full balconies, but some at the Beach Club only have enclosed ones, or balconies
that only allow standing room.

How many people do the rooms accomodate?
The rooms have a maximum 5 person occupancy.

What will I find in my guest room?
Most feature two queen-sized beds or one king-sized bed, ceiling fan, nightstand, armoire, table & chairs, TV,
small safe, double sinks, and mini-bar. Refrigerators are available on request for $10 per night.
Sico rooms feature a bed that pulls down from the wall, and are slightly smaller than standard rooms.

What room views are available?
Standard view rooms overlook the parking lot or wooded areas.
Garden view rooms overlook the areas around the quiet pool, or the wedding gazebo.
Water view rooms overlook Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk (not all water view rooms offer a direct view of
the lake or the Boardwalk). Some of the Water view rooms are located just above Stormalong Bay and may
be a bit noisy during the day.

Is newspaper delivery available?
A complimentary local newspaper is delivered daily to your room.

What are the benefits of concierge?
Concierge-level amenities include robes, television speaker in bath area, hair dryer, make-up mirror, deluxe turndown service, continental breakfast, afternoon snacks, and evening cheese bar with wine and cordials. Concierge staff can also help with itinerary planning and priority seating arrangements.

What happens at check-in?
You'll receive your room key (plastic card), a small 'guidebook', park maps, and a copy of 'Tide Tribune' the
resort's newsletter. You'll also have the option of leaving credit card details so that you can charge anything
you purchase during your stay to your room card.

Are there childcare facilities?
The Sandcastle Club offers supervised activities for children aged 4 to 12 years. Reservations should be made
24 hours in advance.
Kindercare offers in-room babysitting. Reservations should be made 24 hours in advance. Call 407-827-5444.

Yes. All bells, beeps and whistles are available at Lafferty Place Arcade, located next to Beaches and Cream
Soda Shop. Try your hand at the latest computer and video games including pinball, football, basketball and
air hockey games.

Is there a character breakfast?
Yes, Goofy's Beach Bash at the Cape May Cafe.

Where can I get refillable mugs?

Is turndown service available?
Evening turndown service is available upon request, between 6:00pm and 9:30pm.

Where can I find Disney transportation?
Transportation to the Magic Kingdom Park, Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and Downtown Disney is by bus.
Bus stops are located at each lobby entrance.
Transportation to Epcot and Disney-MGM Studios is by watercraft motor launch from the transportation dock.
The boats also stop off at the BoardWalk, Swan and Dolphin Resorts.
The Resorts share the same boat dock, located at the Yacht Club end, on the shores of Crescent Lake just by
the Lighthouse.
There is a walkway to Epcot, where you enter via the International Gateway, which is between the UK and
France. A walkway to Disney-MGM Studios is also now open.

Where can I buy groceries?
A small assortment of snack items, and sodas are available at the Resort shops. There's also a small
convenience store at the BoardWalk.

Are there any shops?
Fittings & Fairings, Clothes & Notions, at the Yacht Club - Located off the lobby, next to the elevators, this is
the place to get Disney's Yacht Club logo merchandise, as well as a beautiful selection of men's and ladies' swimwear and nautical themed sports-wear, including Nautica for men and Polo for ladies. Is there a swimming pool?
There certainly is! Legend has it that a gigantic sailor named Storm-along came along some time ago and took these parts by storm, running his great ship aground where Stromalong Bay now stands. His mighty vessel
plowed into the shoreline in a fierce nor'easter, tearing into the sand and creating the pools and waterways
of Stormalong Bay. You can still see his great ship, with its proud mast piercing the sky 150 feet into the air. It
now hosts an exciting water slide, which plummets into three acres of pools, including a snorkeling lagoon, a
lively lagoon featuring whirlpools, waterspouts, bubbling jets and "rising sand", and a tranquil lagoon for
relaxing. Use of Stormalong Bay Pool complex is reserved for house guests of Disney's Yacht and Beach Club
Resort only. Swimmers' aids allowed.
A quiet pool and jacuzzi is located at the far end of each Resort. No lifeguards are on duty.

What time is the pool open?
The pool is only open when the lifeguards are on duty, from 10am to 8pm (subject to seasonal changes).
Quiet pools are open 24 hours a day.

Are towels available at the pool?
Yes.

Where can I get 'floaties' for the pool?
These items are sold at the merchandise window at the pool, and the merchandise shops at each resort. Inflatables for use in the pool are available for hire at the merchandise window by the pool.

Is there anything to do besides swim?
There's an arcade, Sandcastle Club, a marina for boat rentals, bass fishing, firework cruises at night to Epcot,
a full-service healthclub with massage tables, a salon, tennis courts, volleyball, and poolside activities.

Where can I rent boats?
Get your sea legs into shape at the Bayside Marina. A world of watercraft is available to tour the waters of Crescent Lake and adjoining waterways. Enjoy a leisurely jaunt with your family in a Sun Tracker family
pontoon boat. For some exciting motorboat action, spend an hour hopping over waves in a Mercury
WaterMouse mini power boat. These and other nautical experiences await you at the Bayside Marina.

What is the 'Breathless'?
Return to the golden days of pleasure cruising on a 24-foot, solid mahogany replica of a 1930s Chris Craft Runabout. The 'Breathless' is perfect for a romantic night of cruising on Crescent Lake. Climb aboard and let
the driver take you and your sweetheart on a wine and cheese voyage to celebrate that special occasion. For
an extra special romantic adventure, take the Breathless Fireworks Cruise and other cruise options. Stop by
the Bayside Marina, Guest Services or call 407-WDW-PLAY.
